May 3rd is National Teacher Appreciation Day!

The Pleasant Valley High School Foundation is organizing its’ 3rd annual ‘Thank a Teacher’ letter campaign – and we need your help!

Join the PVHS Foundation and say ‘Thank You’ to a special teacher, coach or staff member for the extra attention on a bad day, the extra help when you were struggling, the constant encouragement and inspiration to reach higher and work harder. Whether current or retired PVHS staff, please consider writing your letter by April 29, 2011 and we will deliver it! If you prefer you may deliver your letter to the main office yourself.

Thank You Letters from PVHS Alumni:

"I could not have imagined high school without Ms. Scully. Before Ms. Scully's AP/IB English class, I really felt that my work in English was marginal. Our readings were so evocative and engaging that I really believe I blossomed in response to reading the literature chosen by Ms. Scully. I also learned how to write an effective paper in Ms. Scully's class. Her method helped me so much that I was able to pass the AP English test my junior year! I was absolutely shocked and could not have been happier to have those 8 units upon starting UCDavis in Fall of 1990. I will always hold Pat Scully in my mind as the PV High teacher that had the greatest impact on my learning. I sincerely appreciate her and will always be thankful to have been in her classes"

"Thank you Mrs. Bertapelle for always being there to help when students need you. You were always available before school, after school, or even at lunch to help students out. I'm looking into a science based major now too so you must have done something right! I will always remember the ice cream lunch with your favorite AP/IB kids (Right? We were your favorite class!) It was so  nice of you to go above and beyond for your students all the time. I had you for two years so I think I owe you some thanks!"
