2008-2009 Annual Fund Drive:
“Bridge the Funding Gap” – Today!
As you may know, the state is proposing to cut $4.8 billion from public education this year. That will result in significant cuts from local schools and districts. Our goal as a Foundation is to raise funds to help protect and support programs and activities that enrich the educational experience at PV. By supporting PVHSF with your donation, you are ensuring that Pleasant Valley will provide not only the basics of education, but also enrichment programs that will enhance the growth and development of all of our students, now and in the future.
Your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or even $1000 will make a huge difference! The amount of your contribution is as important as the timing. As we begin our first year as a Foundation, the need is immediate and we have undertaken a multitude of funding goals. You may donate directly to our Viking Annual Fund that grants monies directly to teachers and programs or donate to the department or program of your choice. Building this fund now not only enriches the school and community, but also creates a legacy for excellence that outlasts any individual program, administration, or plan.
Your generous donations will be put to work immediately! The PVHS Foundation will award our first teacher grants in the fall of 2008.
Founding Member
We want you…to be a Founder!
The Foundation is kicking off our Annual Fundraising efforts by introducing Founder Memberships. Any person who donates $1,000 on or before June 30, 2009 will become a Founding Member of PVHSF in perpetuity. Founder donations go to our Viking Annual Fund, granting dollars directly to teachers and programs, or you may specify the program of your choice. Members include alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Pleasant Valley High School who share a common commitment to support student activities and education goals.
Founding Members will be recognized on the website, in the Foundation newsletter and have their name on the Founder’s Plaque located in the administration office at PVHS. This group will forever be recognized as the group of parents, alumni and friends who helped build a legacy for excellence at PV that will outlast any individual program, administration or plan!
